Why Alabama?

The Crimson Tide have done an excellent job getting offensive linemen drafted over the last 10 years, ranking #1 in our OLU rankings. Additionally, Nick Saban and Alabama are one of the few programs consistently at the top of the college football world, offering the opportunity to compete for a championship year in and year out. Alabama has done an excellent job recruiting four top offensive linemen recruits already this cycle. The Tide do an excellent job of recruiting and developing offensive linemen to play on the big stage in Tuscaloosa, before moving on to the NFL.

Why Clemson?

Clemson is one of the few programs accompanying Alabama at the pinnacle of the sport. Head Coach Dabo Swinney has established a culture of winning the top recruits have gravitated towards. Leigh is a fan of the competitive culture and consistent winning the Tigers have created. They have been one of the front runners to land Leigh throughout his recruitment, clearly having established a strong relationship with him, and will be in this battle until the very end.

Why LSU?

LSU is coming of a national championship season which was a major breakthrough on the field for Coach Ed Orgeron. Ed Orgeron and lead recruiter James Cregg have done an excellent job fostering a strong relationship with Leigh. Leigh visited LSU and came away very impressed with the gameday atmosphere and the campus. This past draft was a good one for LSU offensive linemen and Leigh took notice of the work James Cregg’s group did. Orgeron and the Tigers have a lot of momentum on the recruiting trail right now and are at or near the top of Leigh’s list.

Why Ohio State?

Ohio State Head Coach Ryan Day had an excellent first season in Columbus and is recruiting at the highest level right now. The Buckeyes are a national power and a perennial playoff contender, who like Alabama and Clemson have been at or near the top of the sport. Ohio State has also done an excellent job developing offensive linemen the past decade and ranks 5th in our OLU rankings. The academics are in the Buckeyes favor as Leigh is impressed with the Business School at Ohio State. He has a good relationship with Buckeyes running back commit TreVeyon Henderson who is also from Virginia. The Buckeyes recruiting class has done a good job of peer recruiting and that could go a long way towards landing Leigh’s commitment.

Why Oklahoma?

Lincoln Riley and Bill Bedenbaugh have established an excellent relationship with Leigh. Leigh is a fan of Bedenbaugh’s coaching style and the stability of the offensive coaching staff under Lincoln Riley in Norman. Star quarterback commit Caleb Williams and Leigh have a good relationship and playing with Williams is a draw for Leigh. Oklahoma has been in the College Football Playoff three straight years and offers the ability to play on the big stage as well. Playing for a winner is clearly important to Leigh and the Sooners fit the bill in that regard.

Here is our scouting report on Leigh.
