Quick Hitters to Keep you on Schedule

8/02 3:00 PM

Defensive Tackle prospect Marquis Robinson has committed to the Auburn Tigers. Robinson announced his commitment late last night. The Milton, FL native chose Auburn over offers from Florida State and Alabama, among others. Robinson is a Top 350 prospect according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Robinson is a Top 20 DT prospect and is the second four star player committed at the position. Coach Gus Malzahn is doing a solid job of adding talent to the roster this offseason and adding some big pieces to his defensive front. The class now has 12 commitments including 6 players rated four stars.

8/02 2:46 PM

Safety prospect Kendal Daniels has committed to the Texas A&M Aggies. The Beggs, OK star chose the Aggies over offers from Clemson, LSU, and Oklahoma among others. Daniels is a Top 150 prospect according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Daniels is currently rated the #1 player in the state of Oklahoma and marks the first safety commitment for the Aggies. Jimbo Fisher is known for being a strong recruiter and continues to add talent to the class. The Aggies now hold 13 commitments, including 8 players rated four stars. Here is our scouting report on Daniels.

7/30 5:06 PM

Offensive line prospect Dietrick Pennington has committed to the Clemson Tigers. The Cordova, TN native chose the Tigers over offers from LSU, Auburn, Georgia, and Florida State among others. Pennington is a Top 250 prospect nationally according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Pennington is the third offensive lineman commit for the Tigers rated four stars or better. Clemson continues to roll on the recruiting trail and now holds commitments from 15 players, 14 of whom are rated four stars or better. With many big targets left on the board, the class should only improve this recruiting cycle.

7/30 9:34 AM

Virginia Tech cornerback Caleb Farley opted out of playing this season and will instead prepare for the NFL Draft. Farley marks the first player to opt out of the season during the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be interesting to see if not playing this season affects his draft status.

This is a massive loss for the Hokies as Farley was one of the best players at his position in the country. It is safe to say his play will not be replicated and it remains to be seen what players step up in Farley’s place.

7/28 9:44 PM

Defensive tackle prospect Payton Page has committed to the Clemson Tigers. The Greensboro, NC star chose the TIgers over offers from North Carolina and Tennessee, among others. Page is a Top 100 prospect nationally according to the 247Sports composite ranking.

Page is the sixth highest rated recruit to commit to the Tigers in the 2021 recruiting class. The Tigers class now has 14 total commitments with 13 of them rated four star prospects or higher. Page is the first defensive tackle to commit to the Tigers in the 2021 cycle. Head Coach Dabo Swinney has turned Clemson into a recruiting powerhouse and that trend has only continued with this class. Here is our scouting report on Page.
