Why Florida?

Florida received a visit from Collier right before the recruiting dead period was put in place in March. The Gators and Head Coach Dan Mullen have built a strong relationship with Collier over the course of his recruitment. Florida is a program on the rise on the football field and is a legitimate playoff contender going forward. The Gators have a good reputation of preparing defensive backs for the NFL Draft and rank 4th in our DBU rankings. The Gators have been a strong contender for Collier throughout the process and have a good chance to land his commitment on the 10th.

Why LSU?

Though Collier has not physically visited LSU, he has been in regular contact with Head Coach Ed Orgeron and lead recruiter Corey Raymond. The Tigers are the defending national champions and riding the momentum of their success on the recruiting trail. LSU only signed one safety in the 2020 class and offer Collier a clearer path to early playing time in Baton Rouge. LSU’s success with defensive backs being drafted is well known and they are #1 in our DBU rankings. The Tigers may be the farthest of Collier’s finalists but they have a lot to offer the star prospect.

Why Miami?

The Hurricanes offer the ability for Collier to literally play in his backyard. Safeties Coach Ephriam Banda has been recruiting Collier since his freshman season and has built an excellent relationship with Collier over the years. Two of Collier’s high school teammates are committed to the Hurricanes (Savion Collins, Brashard Smith) and two others are seriously considering Miami (Leonard Taylor, Jason Marshall) so there is a chance he could continue to play with his teammates in college at Miami. Miami has also done a good job getting defensive backs to the NFL and ranks 9th in our DBU rankings. The Hurricanes have been surging in South Florida recruiting over the past month and would like to see that trend continue with Collier.
