Why Florida?

The Gators are coming off back to back double digit win seasons and a New Years Six Bowl win in each of those seasons. Dan Mullen has Florida’s stock trending up again and the Gators are attempting to parlay that success on the field onto the recruiting trail as well. Florida has done a great job of getting defensive linemen drafted over the past decade and rank #7 in our DLU rankings. The Gators are trending up and could be a playoff contender soon giving Leonard Taylor the opportunity to play on the biggest stage.

Why Miami?

The Hurricanes are the hometown team and give Taylor the chance to play in his backyard. Miami did not recruit a true defensive tackle last year, though Roberts is expected to grow into a defensive tackle, so the opportunity to play early is readily available in Coral Gables. When Miami is playing well there is a strong draw for the local talent to stay home and play for the Hurricanes. Additionally, the Hurricanes aggressive defensive line play is a good fit for Taylor and would allow him to showcase his abilities.
