Nolan Rucci: Scouting Report
Recruiting is the life blood of a college football program. Every player added to the program is a new piece of the puzzle. It’s impossible to follow college football and ignore recruiting entirely. Throughout the year as players commit to their school of choice we will review their film and give you a breakdown of what we see. Nolan Rucci is committed to Wisconsin, today we will dive in and breakdown the tape to give you a quick scouting report based on his film.
Nolan Rucci has an ideal frame for a tackle prospect and appears to carry no bad weight. He has plenty of room to add needed size and strength to his frame. Rucci is very quick off the ball and displays the natural athleticism needed to succeed at tackle. He has the flexibility needed for a taller prospect to succeed, but does struggle with maintaining his pad level at times. Rucci demonstrates the needed power to knock defenders off balance, and plays with the aggression needed in the trenches.
As a pass protector Rucci, shows the raw ability to get his feet in front of defenders and uses his excellent length the keep defenders away. The power in his punch shows and will only get better as he grows into his frame. His competition does not challenge him enough at the current level, but Rucci possesses the tools needed to handle better players. Nolan Rucci is a somewhat raw, but very talented prospect, that has the frame and athleticism to develop into an elite college tackle.
