Kyron Drones: Scouting Report

Recruiting is the life blood of a college football program. Every player added to the program is a new piece of the puzzle. It’s impossible to follow college football and ignore recruiting entirely. Throughout the year we will review the film of some of the top prospects and give you a breakdown of what we see. Today we will dive in and breakdown the tape on Kyron Drones to give you a scouting report based on his film.

Kyron Drones is a creative playmaker who can beat the defense in a variety of ways. He has average height for a quarterback but is well put together with a strong lower half. Drones has a good arm and can stretch the field vertically. He displays good accuracy to all levels of the field and is able to put the ball on his receivers. Drones has solid throwing mechanics but needs to be consistent with his footwork to reach his potential. He shows the ability to throw with touch and with solid velocity when needed. Drones is an excellent passer on the move, showing an uncanny ability to make good throws from different platforms while on the run.

Drones is a good athlete who has excellent strength for the position, solid speed and excellent quickness. He is able to escape pressure and tacklers with an array of moves. He breaks contain and extends plays to make passing plays downfield and also to scramble for yards on the ground. Drones is difficult to tackle and has a creativity that few other players possess. He is good at most everything a quarterback needs to do and only needs to improve his consistency. Overall, Drones is a player who has physical tools and a natural ability to make plays. Kyron Drones will be an excellent college quarterbacks who is an all conference type performer in the power five.
