Ketron Jackson Jr: Scouting Report
Recruiting is the life blood of a college football program. Every player added to the program is a new piece of the puzzle. It’s impossible to follow college football and ignore recruiting entirely. Throughout the year as players commit to their school of choice we will review their film and give you a breakdown of what we see. Ketron Jackson Jr is committed to Arkansas, today we will dive in and breakdown the tape to give you a scouting report based on his film.
Ketron Jackson Jr is a fast receiver who catches the football well. He has above average height for a receiver but will need to bulk up some in college. Jackson displays good speed and explosiveness on tape, running past defenders with his long speed but also showing the ability to accelerate past defenders in press coverage. His speed makes him a tough cover for most defensive backs and his hands and body control make him a reliable target for his quarterback. Jackson has a good catch radius and shows the ability to adjust well to the ball. He catches the football naturally and shows good concentration in difficult situations.
Jackson has good lateral mobility and can make defenders miss in space. He will however, need to work on being more efficient with his moves to get back up to speed and not allow other defenders to get into the play. Jackson has great athleticism but needs to get better as a route runner, setting up defenders and being efficient in and out of his breaks so he can maximize his athletic advantage to create easy separation. Overall, Jackson has the size, speed and hands to develop into a really good receiver. Ketron Jackson Jr will be a big play threat in the passing game and a starter for a power five team.
