Kaden Prather: A Quick Look at What the Mountaineers are Getting
Recruiting is the life blood of a college football program. Every player added to the program is a new piece of the puzzle. It’s impossible to follow college football and ignore recruiting entirely. Throughout the year as players commit to their school of choice we will review their film and give you a breakdown of what we see. Recently, Kaden Prather committed to West Virginia, today we will dive in and breakdown the tape to give you a quick scouting report based on his film.
Kaden Prather is a tall, long receiver who will grow into his frame. He can add good weight and should be an intimidating wideout physically. He has good speed and acceleration, beating defenders off the line and getting down field with ease. He runs good routes for a young player and is explosive out of his breaks. Prather uses his length well to shield the ball and make plays in contested situations. Prather has good athletic ability and can win jump balls easily when he high points the football. He needs to work on catching the ball away from his body, but shows the ability to do so at times. He is not as quick side to side or elusive which limits his ability after the catch. Prather will get bigger and stronger and needs to focus on maintaining good flexibility. Kaden Prather is a big, fast receiver who can be a good deep threat who also moves the chains with his route running and physicality underneath.
