Bryson Green: A Quick Look At What The Cowboys Are Getting

Recruiting is the life blood of a college football program. Every player added to the program is a new piece of the puzzle. It’s impossible to follow college football and ignore recruiting entirely. Throughout the year as players commit to their school of choice we will review their film and give you a breakdown of what we see. Recently, Bryson Green committed to Oklahoma State, today we will dive in and breakdown the tape to give you a quick scouting report based on his film.

Bryson Green is a physical wide receiver who has good size and a muscular build. He won’t blow you away athletically but is a solid athlete who has decent speed, quickness and acceleration. Green is a strong player who plays with good strength and balance, he uses these traits well to get to his spot and create the separation he needs. He has excellent ball skills and is good in contested catch situations. Green can physically overpower defensive backs after the catch, and as a blocker in the run game. He is a solid route runner, but still has room to improve, and could clean this area of his game up to create more separation. Green may not be the fastest, biggest, or quickest receiver, but he also does not have any major weakness in his game. This combined with his excellent ball skills will allow him to be an effective college receiver. Bryson Green may not be a star but he should be a good college receiver who can be relied on to make big catches and keep the chains moving.
