Blaine Green: A Quick Look At What The Cowboys Are Getting
Recruiting is the life blood of a college football program. Every player added to the program is a new piece of the puzzle. It’s impossible to follow college football and ignore recruiting entirely. Throughout the year as players commit to their school of choice we will review their film and give you a breakdown of what we see. Recently, Blaine Green committed to Oklahoma State, today we will dive in and breakdown the tape to give you a quick scouting report based on his film.
Like his twin brother Bryson, Blaine Green is a physical wide receiver with a muscular build but he is a touch taller than his brother. Green has some speed down field and can stretch the field vertically. He catches the ball pretty well and does a good job of using hands and not his body to make the catch. Green runs with power and delivers the contact to would be tacklers. He does a good job of blocking and is an asset in the run game. He runs good routes but is a bit choppy in his movements. He accelerates well and beats press coverage with his strength and acceleration. He needs to add more elusiveness to his game as he is not very shifty right now. Green does a good job of getting open and is an above average athlete at the receiver position. Blaine Green has some tools to work with and will develop into a solid receiver, who could be a big play threat.
