Xavier Worthy: Scouting Report

Xavier Worthy is an explosive big play threat at the receiver position. He has excellent speed and acceleration which makes him a threat to score from anywhere on the field. Worthy runs good routes, getting defenders off balance or over committed before blowing past them with his speed. He has good hands and is very natural when catching the football. His athleticism translates well after the catch as well, he is able to run past would be tacklers and accelerate through the gaps in the defense to pick up big yardage.

Worthy has a good feel for the return game as well, using his speed and instincts to make big plays on returns. Though Worthy has average height at the receiver position he does have a very slender frame. He needs to gain a good amount of weight at the next level. He will have to maintain his athleticism as he gets bigger and stronger. Overall, his explosive ability and good hands make him a dangerous receiver. Xavier Worthy will be a big play threat at the college level who should be an impact player at the power five level.
