Reggie Fleurima: Scouting Report
Size
Reggie Fleurima is a taller wide receiver prospect. He has already filled out his frame well and has the strength and build to play at the next level. Fleurima has the size to be a tough match-up from a height, length and strength perspective. He will create tough match-ups for defensive backs on the perimeter.
Athleticism
Though he is not a speedster, Fleurima shows the ability to get behind the defense. He has good change of direction ability, displaying the lateral quickness needed to create separation. He also has above average burst to get off the line and put pressure on defensive backs. Fleurima is a well rounded athlete who has a good blend of mobility and functional strength.
Route Running
Fleurima is strong off the line and makes it difficult for defenders to get their hands on him. He is a savvy receiver who does a good job of setting up his routes and using his size and athleticism to create space. Fleurima is able to work all three depths of the field in the passing game, opening up the playbook for the offense.
Ball Skills
Fleurima does a great job of tracking the ball in the air. He has the body control to adjust the to the ball and make tough catches. He uses his strength to fight for position and puts himself in good position in contested catch situations. His size, balance and length make him a good target on jump-balls downfield.
Run After Catch
While he is not a big play threat after the catch, Fleurima has the strength to run through arm tackles and pick up extra yardage. He also has the lateral quickness to make a defender miss in space and get up field. Fleurima is not easy to take down and will fight for extra yardage.
Projection
Reggie Fleurima has the size and the strength to overpower defensive backs in the passing game. He is also a good athlete at that size and will make big plays over the top in the passing game. Fleurima is physically gifted receiver, who will be a a starter for a power five team.
