Quaydarius Davis: Scouting Report

Recruiting is the life blood of a college football program. Every player added to the program is a new piece of the puzzle. It’s impossible to follow college football and ignore recruiting entirely. Throughout the year as players commit to their school of choice we will review their film and give you a breakdown of what we see. Quaydarius Davis has flipped his commitment to Kansas, today we will dive in and breakdown the tape to give you a scouting report based on his film.

Quaydarius Davis is an athletic receiver who can play outside or in the slot. He has adequate size for a receiver and is well put together, he should continue to get stronger as he matures. Davis has good speed and excellent acceleration which allows him to get to top gear quickly. Davis can stretch the field vertically, or take a short screen pass and make a big play. He is a big play threat with the football in his hands, making defenders miss and pulling away from the defense for big gains. Davis uses his athleticism to get open with ease at the high school level.

Davis has good hands, making difficult catches look easy. He understands how to position himself and has good body control to adjust to the football. Davis is a capable and willing blocker who can add value the run game in this regard. He needs to become a complete route runner, who can set up his routes and get open against better corners. Davis has good make you miss ability but can be inefficient with his moves which allows other defenders to get back into the play. Overall, Davis has game-breaking ability at the receiver position. Quaydarius Davis will be an exciting college receiver who should be a starter for an upper echelon power five team.
