Today we will dive in and breakdown the tape to give you a quick scouting report based on his film.
Nyland Green has elite length and athleticism at the cornerback position. He is a tall prospect with plenty of room to add good weight to his frame as he matures. Green has excellent speed and burst, showing the ability to accelerate up to speed quickly and run with faster receivers. He has the fluid agility and closing speed to erase any separation a receiver may create out of his breaks. Green can play in zone and be a ball hawk who has the instincts to find the football. He has the ball skills and body control to make difficult interceptions look easy.
Green closes on the football quickly and makes himself difficult to block with his agility and quickness. He is a willing tackler but should get better at taking on blockers and delivering the hit to the ball carrier as he gets stronger. Green will need to fill out and add weight at the next level, but should have no problem doing so with his frame. He is a great athlete but will need to hone his technique against the best route runners at the next level. Overall, Green is a rare athlete with his size and fast twitch ability. Nyland Green is a top tier cornerback prospect who will develop into one of the best players in the country.
