Size
Marquis Groves-Killebrew has above average height for a college cornerback. He has long arms and a good frame that has already started to fill out as he has matured. Groves-Killebrew has the size to play on the outside and match-up with some of the top receivers in college football.
Athleticism
Groves-Killebrew is a good athlete with good speed to help play against the faster receivers in the country. He has solid quickness when changing directions, showing the ability to keep up with receivers in and out of breaks. He also also has good acceleration and can close on plays in front of him.
Hips/Technique
Groves-Killebrew is very good flipping his hips in coverage and maintaining coverage as he transitions. He has a good understanding of what the scheme calls for and displays the technique to execute in different coverage schemes. Groves-Killebrew has the footwork to mirror receivers and is able to take on top receivers one on one in man coverage.
Ball Skills
Groves-Killebrew does a very good job of tracking the ball in the air and taking good routes to the football. He has experience at receiver, displaying good hands to catch the football. Groves-Killebrew has good length and is able to make plays on the ball through the receiver to break up the pass. He is able to find the ball and has a good feel for getting his hands to the ball when in coverage.
Physicality/Tackling
Groves-Killebrew is a very physical player at cornerback, who has no problem taking the fight to receivers at the line of scrimmage. He is comfortable in press coverage and is effective redirecting them at the line of scrimmage. Groves-Killebrew can beat blocks on the perimeter and is a solid tackler against the running game.

Marquis Groves-Killebrew is a well rounded cornerback who has the athleticism and technique to prosper at the next level. He is well versed in a variety of coverage techniques and will be able to play in a variety of schemes. Groves-Killebrew is an advanced cornerback who will be a starter for an upper echelon power five team.
