Kai Millner: Scouting Report
Recruiting is the life blood of a college football program. Every player added to the program is a new piece of the puzzle. It’s impossible to follow college football and ignore recruiting entirely. Throughout the year we will review the film of some of the top prospects and give you a breakdown of what we see. Today we will dive in and breakdown the tape on Kai Millner to give you a scouting report based on his film.
Kai Millner is an accurate passer with a very quick release . Millner has good mechanics and a clean, quick release that is repeatable and efficient. He throws the football with accuracy and touch to all levels of the football field. He does a good job of finding the open receiver and throwing a catchable ball, on time. Millner has above average arm strength and is able to push the ball down the field . Even when outside the pocket , he keeps his eyes downfield, maintains good footwork and his quick release to throw accurate passes to late breaking receivers .
Milner has good running ability and shows the ability to make defenses pay as a runner. He has a good feel for the game and does a good job of avoiding pass rushers and finding space to throw or run. He has adequate side to side agility and can make defenders miss in space. Millner has average height for the position but a very slender frame and will need to get stronger as his body matures . As he gets stronger his raw arm strength will need to improve as he sometimes does not have great zip on his underneath passes. Overall, Millner has a good feel for the position and is an accurate passer. Kai Millner shows the potential to be a power five starting quarterback who can pick defenses apart with his accuracy and mobility.
