Alabama Crimson TideRecruit Scouting Reports

JoJo Earle: Scouting Report

Recruiting is the life blood of a college football program. Every player added to the program is a new piece of the puzzle. It’s impossible to follow college football and ignore recruiting entirely. Throughout the year as players commit to their school of choice we will review their film and give you a breakdown of what we see. JoJo Earle has flipped his commitment to Alabama. Today we will dive in and breakdown the tape to give you a scouting report based on his film.

JoJo Earle is an explosive athlete who is a big play threat at all times. He has below average height and a slim build, but the athleticism is remarkable. Earle has the speed and acceleration to pull away from defenders and score on any given play. He is elusive in space and is able to change directions suddenly and make defenders miss. He gets open easily with his explosiveness and change of directions skill, then has the ability to track the ball well and good hands to secure the catch. Earle can hurt the defense in a variety of ways as a receiver, he is able to get deep with ease, he can get open in space on intermediate routes or on the sideline or he could take a short screen or hitch and score.

In addition to his skills as a receiver, Earle is also an excellent runner on jet sweeps, in the wildcat look, or when he lines up at running back. He displays a knack for finding open space and has the high end athleticism to make the most of that space. He shows good toughness and is extremely slippery with the ball in his hands. Earle is an excellent prospect, but he does not have great size, nor does he have the frame to get a lot bigger. Overall, Earle is an incredible athlete who is dangerous anywhere on the field. JoJo Earle is an explosive receiver who will become a consistent big play threat in college football and an all conference type performer.
