DE Rankings: Felix Anudike-Uzomah

As we review the DE rankings, players have had the opportunity to raise their stock and move up the rankings. Before we jump into Felix Anudike-Uzomah, here’s a few reminders about the rankings themselves:

  • The rankings will be updated throughout the season.
  • Players who have not played college football are not eligible for the rankings.
  • Players are graded on their college ability, not their pro potential.
  • We are judging players on their film, production and physical tools.

Kansas State defensive end, Felix Anudike-Uzomah played sparingly in 2020, but had a big year in 2021. He had a huge game against TCU, recording 8 tackles, 4 sacks and 2 fumbles forced against the Horned Frogs. Anudike-Uzomah made plays in bunches and put together a strong sophomore season, tallying 52 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, and 6 fumbles forced on the year. In 2022, he will look to build on that success and become one of the best defensive ends in college football.

Anudike-Uzomah has excellent burst and lateral quickness. He has a lightning quick first step, firing off the snap and creating an advantage immediately. Anudike-Uzomah can change directions quickly, finding ways to get blockers off balance before they have even engaged him. He is able to rush the passer with that speed and athleticism and cover ground side to side against the run game and screen game. Anudike-Uzomah is an excellent athlete with the fast twitch ability needed to be a disruptive defensive end.

Anudike-Uzomah measures in at 6’3″ 255 lbs, but plays with the power and leverage needed to be a complete defensive end. He is able to get his pad level low and get underneath blockers, driving them into the backfield and creating penetration. Anudike-Uzomah shows good power rushing the passer, forcing offensive linemen off-balance so he can use a push and pull move or side-step them once they are scrambling to get in position. He may have excellent speed, but he can play with power as well, making him a difficult match-up one on one.

Felix Anudike-Uzomah is a difference maker at defensive end. He has the explosive athleticism to be a dangerous pass rusher and plays stronger than his size would indicate. Anudike-Uzomah will benefit from added experience and refining his technique. He has proven he can be a game wrecker and is likely to be one of the best defensive ends in country.
