Cristian Dixon: Scouting Report

Recruiting is the life blood of a college football program. Every player added to the program is a new piece of the puzzle. It’s impossible to follow college football and ignore recruiting entirely. Throughout the year as players commit to their school of choice we will review their film and give you a breakdown of what we see. Recently, Cristian Dixon committed to Michigan, today we will dive in and breakdown the tape to give you a scouting report based on his film.

Cristian Dixon has good size at the receiver position. He has the length and frame to add good weight and get stronger as he matures. Dixon has above average speed and can get downfield to make big plays. He has good leaping ability and good ball skills to help him win 50/50 balls. He can overwhelm defensive backs with his size and length. Dixon does a good job of catching the ball cleanly away from his body. He understands coverage and does a good job of finding the soft spot in the defense. Dixon is a bit stiff in his movements and needs to get better accelerating and cutting. He is not a very elusive player in the open field as he does not have great burst or side to side agility. Dixon is a technical player who understands the game but needs to get faster in and out of his breaks as a route runner. Cristian Dixon has good size and length and will be a good receiver who is an asset underneath and in the middle of the field to help move the chains at the college level.
