Kamari Lassiter has good athleticism and ball skills at the cornerback position. He has average height for the position and has a good frame. Lassiter has added good weight over the course of his college career and still has the potential to get stronger as he matures. He has good athleticism and shows the necessary change of directions skill and closing speed to play man coverage. Lassiter displays good range and instincts in zone coverage, finding the ball and getting in position to make the play. He has excellent balls skills on both sides of the ball, tracking and high pointing the football well.
As Lassiter has gotten stronger he has become a good player against the running game as well. He is not just a willing tackler but an effective hitter who has a knack for knocking the football loose. While, Lassiter has room to get bigger he will have to maintain his fluidity to stay at cornerback as he gets bigger. Lassiter’s technique is solid in coverage but he should improve his footwork in college. Overall, Lassiter is a scheme versatile cornerback who can do a lot in the secondary. Kamari Lassiter is an athletic cornerback with a complete game who will be a starter on an upper echelon power five team.
